Last year I had about the best holiday of my life. My friends and I spent nearly all spring arguing about where we were going to go together. We were coming up to the end of our A levels and we really wanted to have a good blow out after we finished. A couple of my friends wanted to head out to Cancun where all of the American Students head to in the summer, but myself and a couple of other friends wanted to head to a hot spot in Europe. In the end money decided it for us and we all agreed that we couldn’t afford to head across to the other side of the world!

We found some Crete flights online that were really good value. We decided that it would be good fun not to book anywhere to stay, but instead to arrive on the island and find some accommodation once we were there.

It made the first day somewhat difficult, but very fun! We all split up in the main town of Crete went to try and find out about apartments whilst one of us stayed with all of the bags! Eventually we found a nice little apartment which cost next to nothing! This meant that we all had plenty of money for booze in the evening!

I have to say that Crete is one of the best places I have ever been. The crystal clear water is amazing for scuba diving, and one of my best experiences was doing a dive about a mile off the coast. The things I saw down there will stay with me for the rest of my life, and when it came to go home I was genuinely depressed that I didn’t live there!
