Travel Guide
Of the many cities we visited in the French Riviera, Saint-Paul de Vance, located to the north between Antibes and Nice is my favorite place. Imagine, a tiny village situated on a hill, this medieval relic has incredible natural scenery. From behind the thick stone wall that surrounded the Saint Paul-as a defense against Italy in the past, we can see the green grove of trees and vineyards in the foothills. Meanwhile, around the village, our eyes will be pampered with a variety of galleries, churches, hotels, cafes to small stalls selling souvenirs or local traditional dishes that still retain the authenticity of the stone buildings in the past.
Although many buildings have been destroyed eaten era, there are few buildings that still survive since the mid-first century, such as the basement and tower machicolation, but the most striking building is the architecture that describes the Rennaissance period from the 16th century until the 18th. Now, there are seven monuments in the village was listed as historic buildings.
History of Saint-Paul other, recorded hundreds of years later by famous painters such as Chagall, Calder, Leger, Prevert, Montand and Ventura who regularly come to Saint-Paul for inspiration. Although they are long gone, artistic soul in Saint-Paul continues with the presence of the various studios that offer painting from different schools, ranging from contemporary to abstract style Povencal. Some modern artists who opened his studio in Saint-Paul, among others, Pesce, Orsoni, Tobiasse, Verdet and Zivo

Not only popular in jazz, Antibes is also famous as a city of art and culture. This is thanks to the presence of a large number of artists who knit to Antibes and a lot of natural wealth to produce work there, ranging from Meissonnier, Monet, Nicolas de Staƫl to the Picasso who breathed his last in it. In fact, the wealth of art and culture of Antibes, can be witnessed from numerous museums spread across the city with a population of more than 73,000 people. Among others, Picasso, Archaelogy Museum, Musee du dessin Peynet and humoristique, and the Musee de la Tour (folk art museum). Even the hero of France, Napoleon Bonaparte who once lived Antibes, also rewarded with the establishment Musee Napoleonien, which still holds relics of the time he landed in 1815 after escape from Elba.
