If you’re like me, you want to take your laptop with you over long vacations and trips. After all, isn’t the kind of the point of going mobile?

Before traveling via airplane. Be sure to understand the rules for traveling with a laptop. You may not bring any Li-Ion batteries with you as a carry on. The battery found within your notebook, however, is acceptable.

So without holding back any longer, here are a number of pointers for traveling with a laptop:

1.)    Be sure to charge your 92P0998 before arriving at the airport. There’s nothing worse than showing up at an airport and not being able to find a plug-in. Power up the night before your departure to ensure this doesn’t happen to you.

2.)    Be sure to bring a compatible AC adapter. When traveling, especially outside of the US, it can be particularly difficult to find a compatible charger for your laptop.

3.)    Always do a diagnostic check of your computer before taking off. There are a number of free tools online that you can take advantage of to protect your computer. One great place to do this is the PC Pitstop.

I hope you’ve found these tips helpful. I encourage you to take action on this advice before embarking on your next trip.
