The North Sumatra Province is located in the Sumatera Island, borders by Aceh on the northwest and West Sumatra and Riau province on the southeast.

This province especially the ethnic group’s Batak native village, that lived in mountains and the Malay ethnic group that lived in the area of the east coast. Moreover also had the Nias ethnic group in the West Sumatera coast, Mandailing, Java and Tionghoa.
